B Term Build 01: Alphafest


patch notes for 11/14 build:

Major goal for this patch: Implement a starting set of skills Ranged units Start work on enemy AI

  • AI improvements:
    • looks for opponent and ally units within range
      • weighs decisions on either attacking or moving (using skills has been designed but not implemented yet)
        • what would the predicted outcome be for this battle?
        • would it move to a disadvantageous position?
  • another units stats menu now appears when highlighting an enemy unit that can be selected for combat
  • when a unit is selected, and hovering over an enemy to attack, the stats now show accurate stats during combat and health after combat
  • units now can perform active skills after movving
  • ranged units are now enabled, units that can attack other units without having to be right next to them
  • melee units can now attack units 1 tile outside their move range
